The first season of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ came to an end last weekend where Divya Agarwal emerged as the winner.  Divya was famous for her fights with actress Shamita Shetty and singer Neha Bhasin and could be often seen engaging in arguments with them. She was also bashed by host Karan Johar on a few ‘Sunday Ka Vaar’ episodes for her behaviour on the show.

On the show, Divya constantly spoke about how she doesn’t care about Karan Johar and what he says. Post that, the filmmaker even asked Divya to not speak about him and said that she was a contestant while he was a host and that line will always be maintained.

Now, in a recent interview, Divya was asked if she was ever worried about getting in the bad books of Karan and that it might affect her future film prospects with the director. Divya stated that she feels confident about her work and she doesn’t need a Karan Johar show to showcase her talent.

In an interaction with radio host Siddharth Kannan, Divya said in Hindi, “I am confident that as an artist, I will never starve to death. Acting is my profession and I am passionate about it. But it is not necessary that I can showcase my passion only in a Karan Johar film.”

She added, “I have nothing to do with how much my passion resonates with people, whether it is a hit or flop. I am doing what I want to. It doesn’t matter if it is a Karan Johar film or a regional film or a short film. If I have to get a film by impressing someone, the audience can see everything. They will criticise me if I can’t act, no matter how many films I get.”

Divya further said that she was ‘true to (herself)’ and ‘not wrong’, and hence would never stop herself from speaking. She added that Karan’s journey with some contestants had started a few years ago but hers has just started now. She also said that towards the end, he was even ‘fond’ of her.

While Divya Agarwal was the winner of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’, Nishant Bhat stood as the first runners up and Shamita Shetty as the second runners up. Pratik Sehajpal took the briefcase and got a direct entry on ‘Bigg Boss 15’ which will premiere on October 2 and will be hosted by Salman Khan.
