Reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ will today (August 8) premiere on digital platform Voot in a never seen before way. ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ will be hosted by ace filmmaker Karan Johar and will be available for six weeks on Voot.
The makers have been gradually unveiling the contestants for this season. The latest contestant to be confirmed for the show is Netflix’s ‘Indian Matchmaking’ fame Sima Taparia who is a Mumbai-based elite matchmaker. Sima hopes to find matches for the contestant inside the house too.
"Bigg Boss OTT will be an Over the Top Experience for me. I just couldn’t say ‘No’. I’m known for finding the right matches for people, ‘andar ja kar bhi mein wahi karna chahungi’ (I would love to do that there too),” Sima told IANS.
She added, "Inside the house, I hope to find matches for the contestants...The contestants can Love me! Can Hate me! But can’t Ignore me! Stay Tuned to watch my Over The Top matching skills."
Sharing the news on her Instagram handle, Sima re-shared Voot’s post and wrote, “Excited to be a part of Bigg Boss OTT. Watch me on 10th August on @voot.”
Sima gained instant popularity as 'Sima aunty' and due to her catchphrase, "Hi, I am Sima Taparia from Mumbai" through her show ‘Indian Matchmaking’. In the eight-part series, which has been nominated at the upcoming 73rd Emmy Awards, Sima goes about trying to find suitable matches for her affluent clients in India and abroad.
The other confirmed contestants for ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ are singer Neha Bhasin, actors Karan Nath and Zeeshan Khan. As per Indian Express, TV actors Rakesh Bapat, Ridhima Pandit, ‘Ace of Space 1’ winner Divya Agarwal, MTV star Pratik Sehajpal and ‘Puncch Beat 2’ actor Urfi Javed have also been confirmed as contestants.
After the completion of the digital exclusive, the show will move to Colors with the launch of Season 15 of ‘Bigg Boss’ which will be hosted by actor Salman Khan.
