Earlier, rumours were rife that popular TV sctor Shaleen Bhanot will be a part of the 12th season of Salman Khan's reality show Bigg Boss.

However, soon after the premiere, it was evident that the speculations had no roots to it and that Shaleen is not going to be a part of show. 

But now we have come to know that Shaleen Bhanot did not consider being a part of the show because of his son. 

While talking to Mid-Day, Bhanot confirmed that he was approached by the channel to enter the show with his ex-wife Dalljiet Kaur, however he opted out because of his son Shaarav.

The actor said, "The makers told me that the theme was jodis and they wanted me in the house with Dalljiet. But after thinking about it, I decided not to opt for it because of my son."

"After all that has happened over the years, I am finally in a good space, career wise and personally. My son and I have got closer, which is a big deal for me. I don't want to do anything to jeopardise it," he added.

For the uninitiated, the Shaleen Bhanot's ex-wife Dalljiet, accused him of domestic violence, and this came into the limelight after they had a public spat with each other. 

In 2015, Shaleen and Daljiet decided to call it quits and in fact went for an out-of-court settlement.

Currently, Bigg Boss 12 is airing, and has already created quite a stir. The show at the moment have 17 contestants, including five celebrities and one celebrity couple. 

They are Anup Jalota-Jasleen Matharu (jodi), Dipika Kakar, Neha Pendse, Srishty Rode, Karanvir Bohra, and S Sreesanth

The commoners on the show include Shivashish Mishra and Sourabh Patel, Saba Khan and Somi Khan, Romil Chaudhary and Nirmal Singh, Deepak Thakur and Urvashi Vani, Roshmi Bani and Kriti Verma.
