'Anupamaa' actor Rupali Ganguly responds to reports of her viral 'bikini' photo

'Anupamaa' star Rupali Ganguly is an active social media user with a massive following of over 1.4 million. Recently, on the occasion of her son Rudraansh's birthday, Rupali Ganguly had shared a photo wherein she was seen enjoying some pool time with him. Rupali extending birthday wishes to her son with the photo in which she was seen in a black swimsuit. "Happy Birthday my SonShine Thank u for choosing me to be ur mother THU THU THU," Rupali wrote alongside the photo. Rupali's swimsuit photo with her son in a pool immediately went viral on social media. Some media outlets reported that she was seen sporting a bikini. 

Now, reacting to those reports or her viral 'bikini' photo, Rupali, through her unverified Twitter handle made a sarcastic comment and called out media outlets for indulging in #gossip.  In her tweet, Rupali wrote that even she did not know that she owned a bikini.

"Mujhe nahi pata tha ki mere paas bikini hai bhi !! Kamaal hai aap logon ko mujhse zyaada pata hai Smiling face with horns #gossip #wrongreporting (sic)," Rupali Ganguly wrote on Twitter,

For the unversed, Rupali was vacationing in Lonavala with her family members. Her photo with her son Rudraasnsh too was from the same trip. 

After her character in 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', Rupali Ganguly who has been part of several TV shows and even films, has got newfound popularity with her namesake character in the daily soap 'Anupamaa'. She is much loved for her role of a middle-aged woman who sacrifices her desires for the sake of her family, in an effort to become a perfect wife and mother. However, Anupamaa decides to lead her life on her own terms after she is deceived by her husband, essayed by Sudhanshu Pandey, in the show.
