Aditya Narayan-Shweta test COVID-19 positive, Jay Bhanushali, Rithvik Dhanjani replace him as 'Indian Idol 12' host

Aditya Narayan and his wife Shweta Agarwal Jha are tested positive for COVID-19. The singer and Indian Idol 12 host took to his Instagram page and shared a selfie with Shweta while in the caption mentioned about diagnosed with coronavirus. Aditya wrote, "Hello all! Unfortunately, my wife @shwetaagarwaljha & I have tested positive for Covid-19 & are in quarantine. Please stay safe, continue to follow protocol & do keep us in your prayers. This too shall pass."

Neha Kakkar who judges the singing reality show commented on Aditya's post by writing, "Get well soon!" Aditya shared the photo with Shweta clicked during their recent honeymoon.

During an interaction with ETimes, when Aditya's father and singer Udit Narayan was asked about his son testing COVID-19 positive, he stated, "Aditya got himself admitted; it may have been to quarantine himself. He is better now."

Udit added, "I just received a text from Aditya saying 'Papa, don't worry about me. I am okay. Just pray for me'."

In the latest episode of Indian Idol 12, Jay Bhanushali replaced Aditya as the host. While it's being said that Rithvik Dhanjani will be hosting the reality show until Aditya recovers from coronavirus.

Talking about Aditya Narayan and Shweta Agarwal, the couple tied the knot in December 2020, after dating for a decade. The wedding was a private affair with limited guests owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
