'Aashram Chapter 2': Prakash Jha's show breaks records with 500% higher streams on Day 1 than previous season

Prakash Jha's show Aashram: Chapter 2 which is an MX Player original series streamed from November 11, 2020. In the show, Bobby Deol reprises his role as Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala aka Monty. Aashram 2 has been getting a bag filled with mixed reactions from the netizens. However, the show witnessed 500% higher streams on Day one than the previous season. The first instalment had recorded 450 million streams in the 2.5 months of its release.

Talking about the first day reactions to Aashram season two, Prakash Jha said in a statement, "It seems like the characters and the events fictionalised in the story resonates the experience of people in real life. They definitely have connected to the emotions of the story and that has translated into this massive viewership. Working with MX Player and its team has been a wonderful experience and I look forward to continuing it."
