In October, during a task given to contestants on Bigg Boss 14 where Sidharth Shukla, Gauahar Khan and Hina Khan were the "Toofani Seniors" in the controversial house when Gauahar was getting close to Sidharth, he got defensive and funnily said 'I have a girlfriend at home'. To which she replied, "Good for you. I am happy for you." Soon after Sidharth said those words, #SidNaaz fans on Twitter went berserk and made his dialogue trend on Twitter. 

In October, former Bigg Boss contestant, Punjabi singer, and actor Shehnaaz Gill admitted that she was watching the current season of the controversial reality show 'Bigg Boss 14', only because of her close friend and Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla. In an interview with the Times of India, when Shehnaaz was asked if she found any of the new contestants fake, she said, "I am saying, fake dikhao but kuchh toh dikhaao. Kuchh dikh hi nahi raha. I am watching the show because of Sidharth Shukla. Jitni der woh ghar mein hai, dekhungi, baad mein nahi dekhungi (I won’t watch it after he exits). Bigg Boss must have got these seniors for a reason." She had added, "Sidharth is the TRP king. Show thoda chal raha hai usko daalne se."

In an episode of Bigg Boss 14, Sidharth was seen discussing Shehnaz with Hina Khan and admitting that she took good care of him. In a video shared by #SidNaaz fan page, Hina is seen asking Sidharth who he bonded with the most in his season? Sidharth instantly responds saying Shehnaz. This instantly made fans believe that the two are hiding their relationship. Earlier, Shehnaz has openly confessed her love for Sidharth, but the latter has always stated that she is just his friend. But that hasn't ever stopped fans from believing that the two are very much in love. 

Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill, who were in Goa in the month of December to shoot a music video, celebrated New Year's Eve with each other and the videos from the same instantly went viral on the Internet. The way the rumoured couple partied together made fans believe that the two are together and it's only a matter of time when they admit to being in love.

While fans wait for a confirmation from the rumoured couple's end, making each of their posts viral on social media in no time, expressing love through trending hashtags and commenting with sweet messages, Shehnaaz and Sidharth celebrated the latter's 40th birthday together. Sidharth, whose birthday falls on December 12, was seen cutting the cake with his 'bestie' Shehnaaz Gill and family members at his home in a short clip shared by Gill on her Instagram Stories. That's when fans were even more sure that something is definitely brewing between the two.

Shehnaaz Gill celebrates her birthday on January 27 and has turned 27 this year. The actor-singer rang in her birthday with her family and friends at a private party. One of the most special people in Shehnaaz's life Sidharth Shukla also marked his presence at the party along with his mother.
