Performing arts isn't easy. For an actor to be able to play a part convincingly without going overboard is not an easy task. But a lot of times we have seen television actors indulge in over-the-top acting sequences and scripts that are impractical. And more often than not audience tends to create an image of the actor by looking at how they conduct themselves in a particular role or how loud or soft-spoken a character is.

But characters don't have much to with how intelligent actors are in real life. It might come as a shock that a lot of actors in the television world are highly educated and may or may not approve of what a certain character does in a daily soap, but considering their profession, if a script demands, the actor delivers. That how it goes!

The handsome hunk Karan Singh Grover is a Hotel Management graduate. He pursued the degree from the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai.

The 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' star did her post-graduation in Business Administration with Marketing as specialisation from Punjab Technical University.

Mouni Roy has completed her graduation from Miranda House in Delhi with a major in English literature and then studied Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia University.

'Qubool Hai' fame Surbhi Jyoti holds a Master of Arts in English from Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar.

Ram Kapoor did his graduation from India and then went to Los Angeles to complete his Masters in Acting.

Sharad Kelkar has done MBA in Marketing from Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Gwalior.

Actor Karan Patel of 'Yeh hai Mohabbatein' fame is a postgraduate from the London School of Arts.

Divyanka Tripathi won a lot of medals for rifle shooting. She also did a course in mountaineering from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi. Reportedly, she was preparing for Civil Services exams when she got an offer to act.

Rashami Desai did her schooling from Assam and then completed her graduation from Assam University. 

Sakshi Tanwar graduated from the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi.

Born in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Hina Khan has completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2009 from the CCA School of Management, Delhi.

Born as Neha Sharma, Nia did a degree in Mass Communication from Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences, Rohini, New Delhi.
