The daily soap which ran for eight years saw many actors rising to fame as the popularity of the show grew and it gathered a massive fan base. The plot of the show revolved around the life of Tulsi Virani who is married to Mihir Virani and her equation with her in-laws.
Tulsi is the daughter of the elite Gujarati Virani family's priest who has been raised with limited means and has simple values. Initially, while Mihir's mother and other family members strongly disapprove of Mihir and Tulsi's match, they eventually get married.

The face of 'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', Smriti Irani was touted to be one of the most iconic faces in the TV industry. She had gained nationwide fame for her portrayal as Tulsi. Currently, she is the Union Textile Minister in the Narendra Modi-led government.
2. Amar Upadhyay

Amar Upadhyay played the role of the male protagonist Mihir Virani in 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. But the actor soon left the show at the peak of his popularity to pursue a career in films. He did not succeed at it and returned to the TV industry. He was seen as a contestant in the reality show 'Bigg Boss Season 5'. Currently, he is the lead actor in the show 'Molkki'.

Ronit Roy rose to popularity with the show 'Kasauti Zindagi Kay'. Later, when Amar Upadhyay quit 'Kyuki...', Roy was then offered the role of Mihir Virani. He received a lot of love in this role too. Post a successful stint on the small screen, Roy did several films too and was last seen in the web series 'Hostages'. As for films, he will be seen in 'Liger', 'Shamshera' and 'Hungama 2'. He also owns a security and protection agency that caters to Bollywood actors.

Jaya Bhattacharya played the role of Payal Mehra, a negative character in 'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. As per the plot of the serial, Payal was supposed to get married to Mihir, but he chose Tulsi over her. Years later, Payal returned as a revenge-seeking in-law of the Virani family. Jaya was last seen on the show 'Thapki Pyaar Ki'.
5. Apara Mehta

Apara Mehta played the role of Savita Mansukh Virani, Mihir Virani's mother in 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. Over the years, Apara has done many shows on the small screen like 'Parrivar’ and 'Hamari Saas Leela'. She was seen in a cameo in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' and was last seen as Ketki Awasthi in 'Sargam Ki Sadhe Satii'.
6. Ketki Dave

Ketki Dave, famous for her perfect Gujarati accent and diction and her opening phrase for every sentence 'Aara ra ra ra', played the role of Daksha Ben in the show. It's noted that the actress had left the show in between due to her differences with the creative team. However, she returned a few years later as Daksha Ben from America!

A theatre artist, Kamalika Guha played Gayatri Chachi in the show 'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. Few know that Kamalika had worked in an ad agency before taking up acting. A known face on television, she has been seen ins shows like 'Naagin'.

Mandira Bedi played the character of Dr Mandira Kapadia, a negative role in 'Kyunki...'. In the show, Mandira falls in love with the already married Mihir and ends up having a son with him. She played the role from 2001–2003. She was last seen in the web series 'Qubool Hai 2.0' and 'Six'.
9. Aman Verma

Aman Verma played Anupam Kapadia in the show -- a mysterious business associate Mihir had never met. Anupam finally met the Viranis for the first time after Mihir's supposed death where he falls in love with Tulsi. However, on the day he is to get married to Tulsi, Mihir reappears directly at the venue of their wedding. Aman was also seen on the reality show Bigg Boss 9 and last played the role of ACP Diler Kumar in 'SuperCops vs Supervillains'.
10. Hiten Tejwani

Hiten Tejwani played the role of Karan Virani, Mihir's son with Mandira out of marrige. He played a negative role in the show, where he was married to Nandini played by his real-life wife Gauri Pradhan. he was last seen playing the role of Ajay Ahluwalia in web series 'Tandav'.
