Contestant Anupa Das is the third contestant and incidentally also the third woman in a row to become crorepati on popular quiz game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati (MBC 12), hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Before her, IPS officer Mohita Sharma and Nazia Nasim had won Rs 1 crore each on the show and created history.
The 42-year-old, who attempted all questions with utmost confidence and humility, had tears of joy in her eyes when host Amitabh Bachchan announced she had correctly answered the Rs 1 crore question.

Anupa's own story of keeping the faith amid struggle and strife is one that is full of positivity. After facing a series of personal struggles -- a failed marriage, and her mother's cancer diagnosis -- she finally found a new ray of hope in KBC 12 and so contested for it and eventually ended up winning Rs 1 crore. Anupa was accompanied by brother-in-law Shrinivas Madhav Rao on the show.
5. Anupa Das: A firm believer of faith

While speaking about moving to Mumbai, Anupa Das reveals on the show that she had certain negative notions about the place and its people. However, all of it soon got washed away when she realised everyone around her was always ready to help, even though being strangers.
She also shares an example and takes the opportunity to thanks a man who helped ferry her unwell mother during COVID times while it was raining in the city.
“It was the times of Covid, and no one even wanted to come close to each other. And this man, without any apprehension came forward to help us. I don’t remember his face, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank him again,” Das said.
Anupa added that she always believed that while God cannot be everywhere, he has his own way of making his presence felt.
