After years of waiting, 'Game of Thrones' has finally come to an end. The finale season received mixed reactions. While a few loved the show, many others were disappointed and wanted the show to be re-written and executed well this time.

While that might not be happening, 'Game of Thrones' fans have something else to look forward to. The makers have announced that the web series would now have a prequel to GoT. This prequel dates back to the time of The First Men and the Children of The Forest.

The audiences have also asked for a sequel on the character of Arya Stark. Before that could really happen, the show aka the prequel titled 'Bloodmoon' will look back into history when House Stark and House Lannister was first formed.

Here are more details about the new show which you should be aware of:

King Kong actress Naomi Watts has been added to the cast, reports Telegraph. The report also goes on to mention that Naomi's character graph is similar to Cersei Lannister's from 'Game of Thrones', thus hinting that Naomi's character could be a Lannister too. It also went on to mention that The Receptionist actor Josh Whitehouse has joined the cast. Naomi Ackie (Lady Macbeth), Jamie Campbell Bower (Twilight, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grinderwald), Ivanno Jeremiah (Humans, Black Mirror), Toby Regbo and Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia) are also expected to make an appearance.

'Bloodmoon' is set thousands of years before 'Game of Thrones'. Die-hard GoT fans could count that the story dates back to 1000 years before the story of Fire and Ice. The story, more like 'Game of Thrones', however, would revolve around House Stark and House Lannister. Brandon the Builder, who founded the Stark, and was the first North of the King, also built several of the forts seen in 'Game of Thrones'. This includes Stannis' seat Storm's End (the one with the gigantic map-shaped table), Winterfell, and the Wall (where Jon Snow lived). On the other hand, Lann the Clever took the Casterly Rock, allegedly lived for 300 years and the first of the Iron Throne married a mermaid.

Since the story of 'Bloodmoon' is set 10,000 years before 'Game of Thrones', none of the cast members from GoT will be part of the prequel. David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, who created, produced and wrote 'Game of Thrones' will not work on the script. They will be working on 'Star Wars' script. However George R R Martin, writer of the book, is creating the show alongside Jane Goldman.
