From Nidhi Bhanushali, Bhavya Gandhi to Disha Vakani, many known artists quit the show and haven't returned since. Here's a list.
'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is one of India’s most viewed sitcom. Running for over a decade now, for the uninformed, the show’s first episode was aired on 28th July 2008.
The show also enjoys a massive viewership mostly comprising family audience, who like a sitcom that does not overdo comedy and has an underlying messsage to it. However, during the course of the show, several characters quit citing various reasons and were replaced by equally talented artists who have been winning hearts like their predecessors.
From Nidhi Bhanushali, Bhavya Gandhi to Disha Vakani, many known artists quit the show and haven't returned since. However, there were a few who did come back on the show to reprise their roles like Nirmal Soni and Jennifer Mistry.

1. Neha Mehta

Neha Mehta who played the role of Shailesh Lodha's wife as Anjali Taarak Mehta exited the hit comedy show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, in 2020. She played the role of a dietician in the show and now actress Sunayana Fozdar of 'Qubool Hai' fame will be seen essaying her role.
2. Guru Charan Singh and Laad Singh Man replaced by Balvinder Singh Suri

Gurucharan Singh, best known for his role as 'Roshan Singh Sodhi' quit the show from 2008-2013 and then returned. He again exited Taarak mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma in 2013 for a year and was replaced by Laad Maan Singh.
Gurucharan was back on the show in 2014, however, quit in 2020 again Currently, Balvinder Singh Suri essays his role in the show.
3. Nidhi Bhanushali

Actress Nidhi Bhanusali essayed the role of Sonu on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She replaced Jheel Mehta in 2012, however exited the show in 2019. Sonu's role is being played by Palak Sidhwani. Nidhi quit the show since she wanted to concentrate on her further studies and was not able to balance between her professional and personal life which paved the way for her departure.
4. Jheel Mehta

Jheel Mehta exited from TMKOC in the year 2012. She was replaced by Nidhi Bhanushali. Later, Nidhi too left the show and made way for Palak Sindhwani to play the role of Sonu 'Atmaram Bhide'.
5. Monika Bhadoriya

Monika Badoriya essayed the role of Bawri Dhondulal Kanpuria: Bagha's fiancée and love interest. Minika joined the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah team in 2013 and quit in 2019.
6. Nirmal Soni
)
Nirmal Soni started out as Dr. Hansraj Hathi and left the show in 2009. Kavi Kumar Azad stepped in Nirmal's shoes from 2009, but the former's untimely demise in 2018 forced Nirmal to come back on the show. Like mentioned, Dr. Hathi is a doctor by profession and has only one hobby - he loves to eat. Dr. Hathi has a wife in Komal and son in Goli.
7. Bhavya Gandhi

Bhavya Gandhi played the role of Tapu on the show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He left the show after working for 8 years as a child artist. However, in 2017, after Bhavya quit, he was replaced by 18-year-old Mumbai based teenager Raj Anadkat.
8. Jennifer Mistry-Dilkhush Reporter

Jennifer Mistry had quit the show in 2013, and was replaced by Dilkhush Reporter, who played the role of Roshan Kaur Sodhi's wife till 2016. Mistry came back in 2016 and still is a part of the show.
9. Disha Vakani

Disha Vakani, known for her iconic character Dayaben from popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, went on maternity leave in September 2017 and soon after quit the show in 2018. She however, did appear for a cameo appearance in October 2019, but her full-fledged return on the show is what the audiences have been eagerly waiting for.
