It was a big night for Netflix and Amazon. HBO maintained their dominance.
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and Barry won the top awards in the comedy categories, surprising nobody. Both the shows, in their rookie year, impressed one and all with their different approach to humour. Netflix's Godless and FX's Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story ruled the limited series categories.
Peter Dinklage won his second Emmy for his role as Tyrion Lannister in HBO series Game of Thrones. The show itself won the best drama series award after its return to the race.
No wins for Donald Glover's Atlanta and Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale came as a surprise.

Alex Borstein took the award for her role in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

Henry Winkler finally won an Emmy. After being nominated four times for 'Happy Days,' it is HBO comedy 'Barry' that gave him a win.
3. Outstanding writing and directing for comedy series

Amy Sherman Palladino pulled off a rare double win for work on The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.
4. Best Actress in Comedy Series
)
First-time nominee Rachel Brosnahan was a sure front runner for her role in the Amazon Prime Video original series. The win only put a stamp of approval from the industry.
5. Best Actor in Comedy Series
)
Bill Hader knocked it out of the park with his portrayal of an assassin aspiring to become an actor in the HBO comedy Barry. Deserving win!
6. Best Supporting Actress in Limited Series
