'Game of Thrones' created stars among debutantes and then there was no turning back for them.
It's been a decade since Game of Thrones on HBO and changed the face of world television altogether. The American fantasy drama is based on the book A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. The show premiered in the US on April 17, 2011, and shocked everyone with several sequences in the pilot episode itself. During the eight-season runtime of GoT, the show has been bestowed with several accolades including 59 Primetime Emmy Awards - Outstanding Drama Series in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019. GoT also received five nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama.
