For the unversed, Remo, Geeta and Terence have been best of friends for a long time now. The trio was the original judges' panel for dance reality show 'Dance India Dance'.

In July this year, Remo filled in for Malaika Arora on 'India's Best Dancer' show, after the latter skipped a couple of episodes. Remo stepped in as the special guest to fill the void.

Meanwhile, on Friday evening, in an interview with Bombay Times, Remo's close friend Ahmed Khan shared details of the filmmaker's health. He informed, "I got a call that he was rushed to the hospital. We all were worried, but the latest development is that he is fine now. He is doing better."

Ahmed, while revealing that Remo is a fitness enthusiast said that when such news breaks, it just shakes a person's confidence from within.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Ahmed, who got misty-eyed talking about Remo, said,   "We’ve known one another for twenty years. He started his career as a choreographer with me. We don't meet or talk every day. But the bond is there. When something like this happens it just shakes you. There is no certainty about life."

Earlier, Remo's wife Lizelle D'Souza while confirming the news of Remo's health to Indian Express mentioned that the next 24 hours are very important. She said, "It was a blockage. Doctors have done angiography. He is in the ICU. Please pray. Next 24 hours are very important."

His PRO confirmed the news that Remo's condition is now stable. He is however kept under observation.

Remo D'Souza, last seen judging 'India's Best Dancer', was also the helmer of the 'ABCD' franchise - 'ABCD 2' and 'Street Dancer 3D' (released in 2020). He had also directed Tiger Shroff-Jacqueline Fernandez starrer 'A Flying Jatt'.

On television, Remo has hosted various shows like 'Dance Plus' and 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa'. He has mentored other choreographers like Dharmesh Yelande.

In 2020, Remo won a Filmfare award for 'Ghar More Pardesiya' for the movie 'Kalank'. D'Souza was going to resume the filming of 'Time To Dance', a movie he had announced but details of which he has been kept under wraps for a long time.
