Srinagar Municipal Corporation launches survey for GIS mapping

Under Srinagar Smart City project, the Municipal Corporation launched survey for Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping. The GIS tag will be placed outside of all houses with unique code of identification, which will be located online on Google maps. This will help people to identify house; lane and colony or mohalla online. Citizens can also avail services like ambulance, fire brigade, police etc. through it. A workshop is conducted to launch the service in Srinagar and to give some information about the service.
