Instagram takes tougher steps to tackle hate speech in direct messages

In order to restrain hate speech in direct messages, Instagram has announced to disable the accounts of people who send offensive messages to make the platform safe to use. The first-time offenders would be restricted to send messages for an undefined period of time, according to The Verge, but the repeat offenders will have their accounts permanently disabled.
