Internet calling through apps like WhatsApp, Signal, and Google Meet might be chargeable soon if India's telecom regulator TRAI proposal comes into effect. The Department of Telecom (DoT) has sought views of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to prepare a framework for regulating internet calling.
