A passenger can pay for their journey without a Paytm account or a credit card while using the website, unlike the Uber app which requires customers to have a minimum balance of Rs 200 in their Paytm wallet. To book a cab, visit dial.uber.com through the Internet browser of your choice. Users will need to sign up for the service using their phone number first.

The website is yet to launch throughout India and is currently available only in a few cities which include Nagpur, Kochi, Guwahati, and Jodhpur.

Uber also launched a feature that lets users request a cab for their family and friends, although this feature is only available on the app.

“We are excited to launch ‘Dial an Uber’ and ‘Request a Ride for Others’ for riders in India. Designed to offer simple and more convenient ways to book a ride, these India-first innovations are testament to Uber’s focus on using its technological prowess to make mobility reliable and accessible for everyone”, said Apurva Dalal, Head of Engineering, Uber India.
