Xolo’s Tegra-powered Play T1000 was officially launched on Monday and the smartphone is now available on e-commerce sites and retail stores across the country for Rs 15,999.

The spotlight is on its 1.5 GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor which comes with a 12-core GeForce GPU and 1GB RAM.

Features also include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS support. The phone comes with a 1,900mAh battery.

The device has a 8.0-megapixel rear camera and a 2.0-megapixel front camera.

The phone has internal storage of 4GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB.

How does NVIDIA Tegra 3 enhance my smartphone experience?According to NVIDIA, Tegra 3 includes a brand-new 12-core GPU that delivers up to three times the graphics performance of Tegra 2 and supports up to a 2,560 × 1,600 resolution. There's also support for 3D stereo.

This basically means that there's a lot more scope for realistic effects in games giving a more PC-like gaming experience.

The device also features support for Nvidia Tegra optimized games through the Nvidia TegraZone.
