WhatsApp update brings new Emoji and "Mark as Unread" feature
The new update rolls out for Android with Vulcan greetings and various skin tone emojis
WhatsApp has rolled out another update to their instant messaging app, this one with a bunch of new Emojis and new feature or two.Version 2.12.250 introduces a Vulcan Emoji greeting for Trekkies, as well as giving you the chance to flip someone the bird, and all in various skin tone options too. There's also a new "Mark as Unread" feature, that allows you to, just like you can in Gmail, mark a chat as unread so you can remember to get back to it later. Conversely, you can also mark a chat as read from the main chat menu, in case you can't be bothered spending time on it but also don't want that pesky notification bothering you.
