If a user has set a status, a green circle will appear around his or her profile photo, similar to Instagram.
In today's era, everyone has a mobile phone and several social media apps are generally installed in that mobile phone. Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter - the list of social media applications that people frequently use is long. The reason these apps remain in news is the constant updates that they receive. Now, if reports are to be believed, WhatsApp is planning to give an Instagram-like makeover to its Status feature.
The new update will turn the WhatsApp statuses into Instagram-like stories. As per a report by Web Data Info, a user will be able to edit the status on WhatsApp even after posting it. The major change that will happen will be that if a user has set a status, a green circle will appear around his profile photo, which will indicate that the user has set the status. This is similar to stories on Instagram where a circle borders the display picture of the user if they have shared a story.
On the other hand, the time limit of WhatsApp status will continue to be 24 hours and it will disappear after that.
Along with the changes related to status, WhatsApp is preparing to bring another new feature to its users, called Sticker Suggestion. Whenever the user is typing, this feature will keep suggesting stickers according to the typed words. Currently, this feature is in the testing stage. It will be released soon for Android and iOS users.
