The highly anticipated Ghostbusters virtual reality experience at Madame Tussauds New York opens Friday, allowing visitors to bust a few ghosts and don a proton pack.
Timed to coincide with the July 15 release of the “Ghostbusters” film, the exhibit “Ghostbusters: Dimension” recreates the world where the supernatural collide with the living.
In addition to recreating the Ghostbusters headquarters, a haunted mansion and underground subway tracks, the exhibit features life-size replicas of the Ghostbusters cast, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones.
The VR experience allows visitors to don a virtual proton pack and go ghost hunting, tracking and trapping a supernatural foe through a New York apartment complex. The attraction opens July 1.
