Vodafone introduces two new prepaid plans for Rs 151 and Rs 158: All details revealed

In an effort to compete with Airtel and Reliance Jio, Vodafone has introduced two new prepaid in India for a price of Rs 151 and Rs 158 respectively.

The prepaid plan for Rs 151 will offer unlimited calling, including local, STD and roaming calls along with 1GB data a day for 18 days. This plan is currently valid in the Kerala telecom circle.

On the other hand, the Rs 158 plan also offers unlimited voice calling but, with a restriction of 250 minutes/day and 1,000 minutes/week. Additionally, the company offers and 1GB of 4G/3G data per day for 28 days. This plan will only be restricted only in the Kerala telecom circle.

Recently, Vodafone announced the rollout of its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Gujarat to offer high quality voice calls with faster call set-up time to users. Vodafone VoLTE service will be launched in Karnataka and Kolkata next, and thereafter across India in a phased manner in the coming months, the company said in a statement.

Vodafone 4G customers can avail the VoLTE for no additional charges and all calls will be billed as per existing plan or pack benefits, Vodafone said announcing the roll-out of its VoLTE services across Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Gujarat (in Surat and Ahmedabad).

Sunil Sood, Managing Director and CEO at Vodafone India said, "We will be expanding the Vodafone VoLTE experience in several more circles shortly". Customers can access Vodafone’s new offering on all VoLTE-enabled devices, the statement stated. At the moment, several handsets are already compatible with the Vodafone VoLTE network.
