Using Adobe’s subscription-based software? Expect it to cost more, come 1 May
Adobe announces a price rise in their subscription rates, following global currency fluctuations
Users of Adobe’s subscription-based software service comprising their popular Creative Cloud suite of applications--such as Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC and more--will have to pay more for their subscription service starting 1 May.
The countries that will be affected include India, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Turkey, and Norway. The reason cited for this change is fluctuations in currencies.
No details have as yet been revealed as to the exact extent of the price increases in each of the regions, although it appears certain these will apply to their subscription-based products.
While the company did actually reduce the price of their services (although specifically for Switzerland and Liechtenstein) in December last year, also owing to currency fluctuations, this time around, the price correction unfortunately goes the other way.
As mentioned on their blog, Adobe stated “Like many US-based global companies, Adobe is making pricing adjustments in a number of countries to offset fluctuations in foreign exchange rate."
The company states that subscribers will be intimated of such a price increase in due course.
