A US district judge in San Francisco has reportedly granted Blackberry a preliminary injunction, imposing a temporary sales ban against the 99 dollars Typo that grafts a physical keyboard onto an iPhone.Blackberry has filed a lawsuit against Typo, founded by chief executive Laurence Hallier and TV personality Ryan Seacrest, saying that the iPhone cases' beveled-key keyboard is a blatant infringement against BlackBerry's iconic keyboard.According to Cnet, US District Judge William Orrick said BlackBerry had established a "likelihood" of infringement and that Typo hadn't sufficiently challenged the relevant patents.A spokeswoman for BlackBerry said that the company is pleased that its motion for a preliminary injunction against Typo Products LLC was granted.The spokesperson added that the ruling will help prevent further injury to BlackBerry from Typo's blatant theft of its patented keyboard technology.
