The ‘recall’ feature may very soon land on WhatsApp. According to fan website WABetainfo, the function will be available either in the 2.17.30 version or the later versions of WhatsApp. At the moment, the current version of WhatsApp is 2.17.190.

This will be available for text messages, audios, videos and even GIFs. However, the ability to revoke a message will only be possible when the recipient hasn’t read the text. At the moment, the service only allows users to delete a particular message on their device, but it is still visible to the receiver. The 2.17.30 beta version was introduced to the App Store on June 6, which did not include the ‘recall’ feature.

Recently, WhatsApp introduced a new update for iOS users which brought in a new quick-reply feature for group chats, along with the ability to add color filters to your media and also, automatic albums in chats. The v2.17.30 update for iPhone is now available on the App Store. At the moment, no information has been shared to as when, the new features will make its way on Android.
