The new "Samsung Creators" program invites vloggers, filmmakers and VR enthusiasts to upload their own 360° work to the Samsung content portal, and enter the Creators competition, registration for which opened on June 22, 2016, at 9:00 AM ET. The competition will be divided into the following categories: Music, Auto, Science and Tech, Gaming, Travel, Fashion, Culinary, Cause-related, 4D and Sports.

The program will also offer classes and seminars aimed at educating a more general public about the creation of VR media.

The "Samsung Creators" launch coincides with the rebranding of "Samsung VR" (previously Samsung Milk VR) and the US release of the Gear 360, a high-resolution camera for 360 degree videos.
