Samsung has launched a new affordable smartphone in India, the Galaxy Core Prime VE, for Rs 8,600. The phone seems to be a slightly scaled down version of the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G, currently available for Rs 9,950. The Galaxy Core Prime VE has a 4.5-inch WVGA (800x480) display, has a 5MP rear cam and2MP front cam, and runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. The phone has 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), and is powered by a 2000mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.4 with Samsung's TouchWiz on top, and is dual SIM enabled.
