Ringing Bells claims to have started delivering 65,000 more units of the world’s cheapest smartphone, the Freedom 251. Initially, the company had started with a delivery of 5,000 units respectively.

The device is available via Cash on Delivery for a price of Rs 291 (Rs 40 for delivery charge). Ringing Bells claims to have received 7.5 crore registrations for the Freedom 251 from about 18 states in India, started with delivering 5,000 units in the first phase.

The company has already started deliveries with states such as West Bengal, Haryana, Himachal, Bihar, Uttarakhand, New Delhi, Punjab, J&K, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

According to PTI, the company said in a statement, “Ringing Bells is all set to fulfill its promise of delivering 2 lakh smartphones to the customers by starting the delivery process of 65,000 more units.”

The phone comes equipped with a 4-inch WVGA IPS screen, 1.3GHz Quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, dual SIM 3G cellular, a 3.2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera, all running on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
