During the TNW conference, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman worried some users when he stated, “We know all your dark secrets”. According to a report by The Next Web, Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten asked the CEO as to how the company plans to increase monetization of its content, he said, “We know all of your interests. Not only just your interests you are willing to declare publicly on Facebook – we know your dark secrets, we know everything.”

When Zanten said that he would close his account, Huffman replied, “Try it. You'll be back.”

The video of him making this statement has gone viral after appearing on the front page of Reddit, receiving over 6,000 up votes. Many users are left furious and worried.

A similar outrage occurred when Google CEO Erich Schmidt told CNBC, “If you have something that you don’t want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place.”

It is also similar to when Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg called his website’s users “dumb f**ks” for trusting him with their private data.
