As lakhs of PUBG lovers in India are eagerly waiting for the launch of PUBG Mobile India, speculations are rife that PUBG Mobile India would be released in the Indian market in the near future.

Some reports claimed that PUBG Mobile India would be relaunched in the second and third week of January. But sources said that it is highly unlikely that PUBG Mobile India would be launched in India before March.

It is to be noted a trailer has been released talking about a potential launch of PUBG Mobile India. A video has also surfaced on Youtube showing that PUBG Mobile India could launch anytime between January 15 and January 19!

In December 2020, PUBG Corporation had made two major announcements that raised the hopes of lakhs of PUBG fans in India. Parent company Krafton Inc recently appointed Aneesh Aravind as new country manager for India, sending a message that the launch of PUBG Mobile India was on the cards. Some media reports claimed that Krafton Inc inducted four more people in the team to take care of the launch of PUBG Mobile India. It is learnt that these four inductees were part of Tencent, the company which has got the rights for PUBG Mobile's Global version.

Meanwhile, FAU-G (Fearless and United Guards), the desi rival of PUBG, which was earlier expected to launch in December 2020, is set to release on January 26. Few days ago, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar shared the FAU-G Anthem along with the pre-registration link.

Sources said that FAU-G is based on Galwan Valley face-off that took place between India and China troops at Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh.

Created by NCore Games, FAU-G s also associated with Akshay's another initiative Bharat Ke Veer which was launched to raise funds for the families of the martyred soldiers.

It may be recalled that on September 2, 2020, the Centre had banned 118 more Chinese mobile applications including Player Unknown`s Battlegrounds (PUBG). "The apps have been banned as they are engaged in activities prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order," a statement from the Ministry of Electronics and Information and Technology said.

"This move will safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users. This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety, security and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace," the statement added.
