Oppo Find X teaser hints at futuristic flagship smartphone coming soon to India

Oppo has finally published a teaser on its official Weibo account stating that the company’s Find series will now make a comeback with the new Oppo Find X smartphone.

A render of the device has also appeared on the Chinese social networking website, giving us a hint at the smartphone’s design. Based on the leak, we can expect the device to sport a bezel-less display with a taller, 19:9 aspect ratio along with an iPhone X-like notch. It will also include a dual-camera set up towards the back in a vertical position. It may also feature an optical 5x zoom camera technology. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and will most likely use the VOOC fast charging technology.

The device is slated to compete with the iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, and the LG V35 ThinQ. At the moment, there is no information provided as to when the device will launch globally.

Recently, Oppo launched a Nebula Special Edition for the Oppo R15 in China. The company collaborated with Egyptian industrial designer Karim Rashid and the device sports his signature towards the back of the smartphone too. The device’s rear panel features a blue-pink-red color gradient, which is said to glow in the dark.

The Oppo R15 Nebula Special Edition is priced at RMB 2,999 (approximately Rs 31,900) and is available for pre-order starting May 19. Additionally, for RMB 200 (approximately Rs 2,100) more, you can also get a pair of custom JBL earphones.

In terms of features, the Oppo R15 features 6.28-inch 19:9 AMOLED display along with a 2280 x 1080 resolution. It will be powered by a MediaTek’s new Helio P20 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM. It sports an internal storage of 128GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. It comes equipped with a 16MP Sony IMX519 rear camera sensor along with LED flash and f/1.7 aperture.

Towards the front, the device includes a 20MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS and USB Type-C. Running Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with ColorOS 5.0 on top, it will be backed by a 3450mAh battery.
