OPPO today announced a new budget smartphone, the OPPO Joy Plus, aimed at the mid-range smartphone market. The phone is powered by a 1700mAh battery, offers dual-SIM support and runs the custom ColorOS 2.0, based on Android 4.4. The Joy Plus has a 4" 480x800 234ppi display and is 9.9mm thick. It packs a MediaTek MT6572 dual-core 1.3GHz processor, 1GB RAM, and $GB internal storage, expandable upto 32GB. It has a 3MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front cam, and is available for Rs 6,990. Commenting on the new launch, Mr. Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobile India said, “Our aim at OPPO India is to provide our customers with ground-breaking technology at affordable prices. The Smartphone market in India is constantly evolving and we intend to reach across sections through our budget Smartphone, Joy Plus.
