According to rumours, we may soon see a new budget smartphone from China-based OnePlus. Company CEO Carl Pei had confirmed in August, that OnePlus would be releasing another smartphone before the end of the year, and it looks like we might be seeing that handset as early as this month. The new OnePlus X, as it is called. was first leaked online earlier in September. It's a redesigned version of the popular OnePlus series, this time as a slim device with ultra-thin bezels, a dual camera setup on the back, with dual-tone LED flash, and dual speaker grills on the bottom of the device. There's also the unmistakable fingerprint scanner on the back of the device, underneath the camera, and we can safely expect USB Type-C, now that the OnePlus 2 made the jump.In addition, GizmoChina now quotes its factory sources, saying the OnePlus X will have a 5-inch full HD display, and a Snapdragon 801 running underneath. Slipping in a year-old chipset would help OnePlus cut costs greatly, which gives strength to the rumours that this device will cost about US $249 (approximately Rs 16, 300).
