Nokia 7 Plus will soon receive Android 9.0 Pie

HMD Global has announced that its Nokia 7 Plus will be the first smartphone from its portfolio to run the newest Android 9 Pie OS. It will be one of the first non-Google smartphones to get the latest sweet treat by Google.

HMD Global has announced that its Nokia 7 Plus will be the first smartphone from its portfolio to run the newest Android 9 Pie OS. It will be one of the first non-Google smartphones to get the latest sweet treat by Google.

HMD Global chief product officer Juho Sarvikas took to Twitter to make the announcement. He wrote, "Everybody wants a piece of the Pie! We are starting the roll out of Android 9 on #Nokia7Plus. Which of its delicious new features is your favorite."

Google rolled out its Android 9 Pie OS early August. The latest iteration of the popular mobile OS brings in tons of new features including improved notifications and a neat design. 

In terms of features, the Nokia 7 Plus features a 6-inch screen along with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and comes in an aluminum uni-body. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 64GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

It comes equipped with a dual camera setup. It includes a 12MP rear camera with an f/1.75 aperture along with a 13MP camera with an f/2.6 aperture. It also includes a 16MP front-facing camera along with an f/2.0 aperture. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack. A 3800mAh battery completes the package.
