Motorola Moto Z Play spotted in India
Moto Z Play spotted in India with a 5.5-inch display and snapdragon 652 processor.
India having one of the largest economies in the world with an ever growing smartphone market, it should come as no surprise that there is a long list of smartphone manufacturers that choose India to debut its latest smartphones. Motorola’s Moto Z Play (codename: Vertex) maybe the latest smartphone that adds to this list.
Details of the Motorola Vertex being import to India first showed up on Zauba, a website that tracks imports and exports. On the site, the Motorola Vertex was listed with a 5.5-inch screen with a QHD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution and a Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 2GB RAM.
The listing goes on to show that the smartphone will have a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, powered by a 3500 mAh battery, supports Android 6.0 Marshmallow on startup and USB-C type charging. It is still unclear if the smartphone will come with a separate 3.5 headphone port or if the smartphone will integrate the headphone port into the USB-C like the LeEco 2.
Considering that the smartphone has been imported to India, Lenovo-owned Motorola may decide to launch the Moto Z Play soon.
