The information arrives via a video teaser apparently played ahead of a movie screening over the weekend. The promotional ad was for an unreleased phone, which was essentially a video version of the OnePlus 6 teaser on “The speed you need” theme, which OnePlus published earlier this month. The teaser photo showcased the repositioned alert slider.

According to a Gadgets 360 report, the teaser video ended with the Amazon India logo, confirming that the OnePlus 6 will be exclusive to the e-commerce giant. The debut on Amazon India is in line with the company’s previous releases. The company first makes its smartphones available on Amazon India before making them available onto other e-commerce platforms.

OnePlus 6 is expected to bring in a range of improvements and new features. The company has already confirmed the presence of iPhone X-like notch on the top. With “The speed you need” theme, the smartphone is likely to get advanced hardware for enhanced performance.

OnePlus 6 new colors with red alert slider teased in renders

One of the changes in terms of design will arrive in the form of a repositioned, and possibly distinctly colored alert slider. Unlike predecessors, the alert slider on the upcoming OnePlus 6 is said to be placed on the right side in red color. OnePlus has also teased a new functionality wherein users will be able to adjust the camera focus using the physical button.

The OnePlus 6 is further likely to retain a physical fingerprint sensor at the back, where the device will also get a pair of horizontally-positioned cameras.

In terms of specifications, OnePlus 6 is likely to be equipped with a 6-inch full-screen display. Under the hood, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of default internal storage. It is likely to run Android Oreo out-of-the-box, and support Face Unlock. Owing to the edge-to-edge display with a notch, OnePlus 6 is expected to receive support for iPhone X-like gestures.
