Huawei is rumoured to introduce the Mate 9 this year during IFA. The company has reportedly scheduled a press event for the expo. A prototype has been spotted on a GFXBench lisitng which reveals some of the specifications of an upcoming device, thought to be the Mate 9.

Telefoonabonnement.nl shared details regarding its specifications which stated that the phablet sports a 5.9-inch display with a 1080p resolution. It will include a 2.6GHz octa-core processor, paired with 4GB RAM. It is also coupled with Mali-T880 graphics. Running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, the device will include 64GB of internal storage, and will most likely have a microSD card slot as well. According to the listing, the device will feature a 12MP rear camera along with an 8MP front facing camera. 

At the moment, no other details have been announced.
