After the entire Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, a post appears on Reddit which shows a burnt iPhone. The device is said to be the new iPhone 7.

According to Reddit user KroopTheSnoop, the device was "running a little hot." He added, “I’m not certain, but something happened between the factory and delivery.” The photo of a burnt rose-gold iPhone 7 reveals that the display has been completely separated from the chasis. The screen is slightly cracked as well. 

Judging by the photo, one cannot be sure whether it is the battery that caught fire, or something else.

Recently, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones across the globe including South Korea and the United States were recalled due to faulty batteries causing the devices to catch fire while charging or in normal use. Samsung had said it has sold 2.5 million phones equipped with the suspect batteries.
