Facebook’s Instagram has introduced a new feature, for users which will allow them to zoom in one images and videos. However, this feature is currently available for iOS devices and will soon be available on Android.
Instagram stated in a blog that, “Over the past six months, you’ve seen many exciting changes come to Instagram, from a new icon to longer videos and even a new way to share everyday moments with Instagram Stories. And as things change, we’re still focused on improving the core parts of Instagram.”

Users will be able to zoom in on content posted on their feed and also, on the 'Explore' section of the app. On zooming in, a lightbox effect takes place and the image pops out of the original frame.
Recently, the company introduced Instagram Stories, a feature that enables users to share and augment photos that are intended to stick around for no more than 24 hours. The move is being received as a measure to harness the appeal of temporary messaging network Snapchat in a style that fits in with Instagram's own ethos.
