In a matter of hours, Sony is expected to introduce new smartphones at IFA 2016. However, it appears that a few press renders have been leaked out on the Xperia Blog.
According to the leak, both devices will sport a curved edge display and support USB Type-C. Additionally, the devices appear to sport a fingerprint sensor, which has been used on the Xperia Z5. The Xperia X Compact is shown in a sky blue colour variant along with a black and white option while the Xperia XZ is shown in what looks like a dark blue colour along with a silver or gold metallic option.
In terms of specifications, the Xperia X Compact will most likely be equipped with a 4.6-inch or 4.7-inch screen along with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The devices will be mostly powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820/821. The device could be waterproof as well.
On the other hand, the Sony Xperia XZ is expected to include a 5.2-inch display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, featuring 23 MP rear cameras, 13 MP front-facing cameras and USB Type-C ports respectively.
