COLOUR INGREDIENTS
Red Palash, hibiscus, rose
Orange Orange Marigold
Yellow Yellow Marigold, turmeric
Green Leaves of Gulmohar, sonmohar

As shown in the table, you can use various flowers and leaves to make the colours.

Step 1:Separate the petals from their stalks and keep them for drying under the sun. Or you can dry the flowers first and then separate out the petals. Usually, these flowers take atleast 4-5 days to dry completely. It may even take longer depending on the intensity and for how much time you keep them.

Step 2:After these petals are completely dried, put them in mixers and grinders to obtain powders. For getting very fine powder, sieves are used.

Step 3:To increase the bulk, add gram flour (besan) to the powders and some fragrant Ayurvedic powders like kachursugandhi, gavlakachri, rakhtchandan should be added to enhance the fragrance of the colours.

Step 4:The colours are ready-to use! Enjoy playing holi this year without harming the environment and your skin.
