Here’s how to check if your Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is safe
The company has revealed a few ways on how you can check if your smartphone is safe, or includes faulty batteries.
Samsung has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. After the company suspended sales of the Galaxy Note 7, as the battery was faulty, the company has now announced that the replacement stock for the device will start this month. The first country to receive the stock will be Australia, starting September 21.
Additionally, Samsung has issued an official statement on how customers can find out if they are using the newly produced safe units of the Galaxy Note 7 or, the one which is prone to having their batteries explode.
Samsung said that if your Galaxy Note 7's box has an ‘S’ mentioned, it implies that your device is safe. However, if it does not, you are advised to immediately replace your smartphone. For some reason, if you do not have the retail box, you can enter your smartphone’s IMEI number on the online database that will be released on September 13.
