In a somewhat unexpected move, Indian banking giant HDFC has just announced an HDFC mobile banking app, designed specifically for the Apple Watch.Simply titled WatchBanking, the move makes HDFC the first bank, and also the first Indian company to launch an app for the Apple Watch, due to launch in India later this month. A Business Standard story quotes HDFC's digitl banking head, Nitin Chugh, saying, “We started developing the app when Apple Watch released the developers’ kit. Now, we are ready. We will offer 8-10 features commonly available on the mobile banking app." Some of HDFC's most common features from it's mobile banking app will make it into the Apple Watch edition.
