Digital versions of the Harry Potter book series are now exclusively available on the Apple iBooks store, the company announced in a press release yesterday. The "enhanced" digital versions of JK Rowling's popular novels have interactive animations, custom covers, and annotations penned by the author herself. The ebooks were originally only available on Rowling's own Pottermore website, dedicated to all things Harry Potter, but the digital versions are now available for US $9.99 each, in 32 countries. While the current set are only available in English, the French, German and Spanish versions can be pre-ordered from today, and will be available starting November 9."I'm thrilled to see the Harry Potter books so beautifully realized on iBooks for the digital world," Rowling said in a statement to the press. "The artwork and animations in these enhanced editions bring the stories alive in a delightful new way."The books are available on the iBooks Store here.
