In another major cyberattack, user data of XXX website MyFreeCams.com was reportedly leaked and being sold on a popular hacking forum in exchange for bitcoin. As per a report by Cyber ​​News, the user data includes personal information like names and emails, addresses, usernames, passwords, etc. and may be used by the attackers to blackmail the users.

For the uninitiated, MyFreeCams.com is a popular adult website which has around 70 million monthly visitors.

The report claims that the leaked data contains information of about 2 million of the site's users and it is being sold on a popular hacking forum where the seller is exchanging data for bitcoins. Data of 10,000 users can be purchases for $1500 worth of bitcoins. It is also being claimed that the buyer can further sell these accounts for $10,000.

The adult website has confirmed the leak and asked its users to reset their password. It has also been revealed that the leaked data includes username, email address, MyFreeCams.com token balance and password written in plain text. 

The leak can affect the users in several different ways. Hackers can exhaust the MyFreeCams token balance of users. They can also jeopardize the users and send blackmail emails to them, in which they will threaten to share the information with family and friends.

Recently, another popular porn website Pornhub.com also faced major issues after credit card companies Visa and MasterCard stopped allowing their cards to be used on the platform. The development came in wake of the allegations of hosting child abuse and sex trafficking videos. Following this, as an act of damage control, Pornhub removed all videos from non-verified users.
