Google unveils 'Android Kit Kat' powered Nexus 5
According to the BBC, with the latest Android Kit Kat, Google had made the software use less memory so that it could be used on handsets with much lower specifications than top end smartphones.
Google has reportedly unveiled Nexus 5, its first device to run with the latest Android Kit Kat operating system.
Nicknamed after the chocolate bar, the OS is designed to work well on both high-end smartphones and cheaper feature phones, while the handset, made by LG, is smaller, slimmer and lighter than the previous Nexus 4, but it has a bigger touchscreen measuring 4.96 inch.

The latest OS comes with a better virtual assistant, Google Now that engages in richer dialogue with Nexus 5 users.
The report said that the Nexus 5 had hit the shelves of Google’s online store starting at 349 dollars for a 16 GB model while the 32 GB model costing around 399 dollars.
