The Google Trips app, available for Android and iOS devices, collates information on users' day plans and reservations as well as restaurants, transport options, and even full tour plans based on other users' itineraries.

Google Destinations, meanwhile, is a search feature originally introduced on mobile and now making its way to desktop a few days before Trips was launched.

It provides a similar service to Trips, noted TechCrunch, placing activities, hotels, and ticketing information within easy reach.

The original Destinations feature set had been launched for mobile formats in March 2016. Airbnb's own Airbnb Trips app was discovered in August ahead of expected availability in November.
