In an interview with the Verge, the product manager of Android Wear (owned by Google), Jeff Chang has confirmed that the tech giant will launch two smartwatches in the first quarter of 2017.

Chang said that the smartwatches will be the first devices to support Android Wear 2.0. Google will be building the smartwatches in collaboration with an unnamed manufacturer, the same approach used for the company’s Nexus devices.

A report from Android Police says that the pair of smartwatch will be called "Angelfish" and "Swordfish". The report goes on to say that “Angelfish” will house a bigger display and will support LTE connectivity while “Swordfish” is smaller in comparison and will not support LTE.
